 Fun Factory, Inc. and the University of Hawaii have once again made the dreams of 20 Hawaii high school graduates come true. Since its inception in 1988, Fun Factory has donated $400,000 toward the college education of the youth in Hawaii through the Fun Factory/University of Hawaii Scholarship program.
Each year Fun Factory and the University of Hawaii award $20,000 ($1,000 for each selected scholar) and 20 one-year tuition scholarships to outstanding high school seniors who will attend the University of Hawaii their freshman year.
Students selected as Fun Factory/University of Hawaii scholars are notified prior to graduation and are featured in a full-page newspaper ad in the Honolulu Advertiser.

Fun Factory also donates $5,000 a year to the University of Hawaii Foundation for students entering their sophomore year at the University of Hawaii. This Fun Factory Second Year Scholarship program is available only to students who were Fun Factory/University of Hawaii scholars their freshman year. The University of Hawaii selects the five students at the end of their freshman year. Each student receives $1,000 and is featured in the same full-page newspaper ad that announces the recipients of the Fun Factory/University of Hawaii scholarships.
